Software isn't the solution. Systems are.

The thinking behind how AOE approaches every build.

Most businesses don't need more software. They need it connected.

Almost every business AOE talks to already has some combination of a website, a spreadsheet, a scheduling tool, a payment processor. The problem is never a total absence of tools — it's that none of them agree. A request arrives in one place and gets recorded in another. A decision gets made in a message thread and never reaches the record. Each tool works fine in isolation and fails as a system. AOE's job isn't to add another tool to the pile. It's to connect and rebuild what's there into infrastructure the business controls.

Built around the business, not the other way around

AOE doesn't sell templates.

Two businesses at the same stage can end up with meaningfully different systems, because each one is designed around how that business actually operates — not fitted into a fixed template. That's slower than shipping the same theme to every client. It's also the only way the result removes work instead of adding another tool to manage.

A small number of businesses, built properly.

AOE is intentionally not trying to serve everyone at once. Every system is designed and implemented directly by Michael Rojas, which caps how many businesses can be taken on at a time — and that constraint is the point. Depth of understanding a business's actual workflow is what makes the resulting system worth owning.
